PCGS 1921-D Morgan dollar struck thru a fairly large piece of string obverse, with little "hairs" from the string visible all around the primary struck thru area. The error occurred when a piece of string fell on top of the planchet when it was struck, impressing the string's texture and shape into the Morgan dollar's obverse.

A scarce error type on Morgan dollars. This one is nicely positioned as well in front of Ms.Liberty's face.

MS63 lustrous mostly white.
