NGC 1940-S Mercury dime double-struck, with the 2nd strike rotated in-collar. Also, it is a partial collar strike. The coin shows the underlying design fairly strong on both sides, and the partial collar strike also shows the double-strike.
Mercury dime double-strikes are very scarce, with only a small number known. Estimate 20-30 known for the Mercury dime series for all types combined.
AU55 with brown toning. There's a light scratch obverse, but too small to be noted on the holder.
