CACG 1943 steel wheat cent struck on a silver 10c planchet. In 1943, cents were struck on steel cent planchets, but instead the coin being struck in steel, this coin was struck on the smaller, silver 2.5 grams planchet intended for striking into a Mercury dime! The coin is silver in appearance, and has portions of the design missing.

A very popular year for mint errors, and this is a pleasing example of an off-metal 1943 cent on dime planchet.

CACG AU55 with attractive surfaces, and some areas of reddish brown toning on the reverse.
