PCGS 1943-S Lincoln wheat cent struck on a silver 10c planchet. The coin weighs 2.5 grams, and is silver. It should have been struck on a steel cent planchet (the unique metal of the year 1943), but was instead struck on a silver dime planchet intended for striking into a Mercury dime.

This is a popular major off-metal, being on the 1 year only "1943 steel cent" year. Most of the known examples are circulated, which is how this coin is.

AU53 with pleasing, mostly white surfaces.
