NGC 1968-D Kennedy half double-struck, with the 2nd strike 85% off-center and uniface reverse. A scarce era for double-strikes (1965-1970 Kennedy halves.)
The error occurred when the coin was struck, and then struck again with the 2nd strike off-center and uniface on the reverse (because there was another planchet underneath it on the 2nd strike.)
PCGS (1971-2024) Kennedy half double-struck with the strikes 98% and 70% off-center, and die struck on both sides. A scarce double-strike combo on a Kennedy half!
