PCGS 1979-S Susan B. Anthony dollar struck on nickel planchet. An extremely rare off-metal type, and there are only about 6 known SBA dollars struck on nickel planchets. As a result, they are very tough to find for sale, and this is the only example we can recall every having in our inventory.

The error occurred when a nickel planchet was fed into a press that was striking SBA dollars and was struck, resulting in a coin with the design of a dollar but on the planchet of a Jefferson nickel.
