PCGS 1981 Washington quarter struck on a cent planchet. The coin is copper, and is struck on the cent planchet intended for a Lincoln cent. It is also the weight of a cent at around 3.1 grams.

The error happened when a cent planchet was fed into a press that was striking quarters, and was struck with the quarter dies, resulting in an off-metal quarter on cent.

MS62 Red/Brown, with about 60% red surfaces. The coin has been cleaned (not noted on the holder.)
