NGC 1999-D Delaware quarter struck on nickel planchet. The coin is slightly smaller than a normal quarter, with portions of the reeding missing from the edge. It is the weight and planchet of a Jefferson nickel, and weighs around 5 grams. 

 

This is the most available date for state quarters struck on nickel planchets, and so also the most affordable. 


MS64 with lustrous, nearly full white surfaces and just a hint of gold toning. Exceptional eye-appeal.
