Summer FUN Coin Show Report 2025

Summer FUN Coin Show Report 2025

Posted by Jon Sullivan on Jul 15th 2025

The Summer FUN show 2025 was a success by most measures, with a large number of collectors and dealers in attendance. Although fairly large, it's still on the small side of the "big shows" that populate the annual coin show calendar. But, it has become a excellent show in recent years, and nearly every coin dealer we talked to said they had a great show. "Hot" is the correct way to describe the selling at the show, with many surprised just how many coins they sold. Most dealers said it was hard to buy many coins though to replace the coins they sold. If this is any indication, this year's ANA in Oklahoma City will be a great show in a month!

Above: the bourse floor was very active with buyers and sellers.

For error coins, we were the only dealer with more than a few errors in their cases. Our corner table had 5 cases of mint errors, with a few more coins "in the back." Error collectors stopped by regularly throughout the show to say "hi" or to buy. There was little selling, and we only picked up perhaps 1/6 of the sales we made at the show! Sales were higher than normal, both wholesale and retail.

If you have not made plans to attend the ANA in Oklahoma City in August, it's likely to be well worth the trip. Sullivan Numismatics will have a large selection of mint errors at our corner table, and we look forward to seeing you there!
