PCGS (Pre-1999) Washington quarter struck 35% off-center on a Lincoln cent planchet. On the obverse, the back of Washington's head is visible on the obverse, while the reverse is uniface. The cent's planchet is copper, and also much smaller than a quarter, making for a dramatic off-metal.

The error occurred when a cent planchet was fed into a press striking quarters, and in such a way that only part of the planchet was between the dies (considering the small size of the planchet, this would be easier to occur) instead of cents, and was struck, resulting in this off-center, and off-metal quarter on cent. It may be on a blank instead of a planchet, since the rim doesn't appear to be "upset."

Quarters on cent planchets are generally scarce, but are available. However, quarters struck off-center on cent planchets are rare, with probably 7 or 8 known.

MS62 Red with lustrous surfaces. Some scratches are present, possibly from the odd shaped of the coin causing it to get stuff in the press or other equipment (the scratches aren't severe enough to be noted on holder.)
