NGC 1882 shield nickel broadstruck on a type-1 blank. The coin was struck on a blank (no raised rim), and also struck out of collar, allowing it to expand beyond its normal diameter.
Broadstrikes are rare on shield nickels, and this is one of the few examples we have seen. It is certainly the highest grade we know of!
MS63 with lustrous surfaces, and good eye-appeal. One small spot obverse at 10 o'clock. The coin looks like it was freshly pulled from a bag of shield nickels!
