NGC 1946-x Washington quarter struck on silver dime planchet, and with a weight of 2.5 grams. The coin is struck on the much smaller planchet of a dime, with much of the outer design missing. A dramatic wrong planchet error, with the small size giving it great eye-appeal. It is struck on a dime planchet for the 1st year of the new 1946 Roosevelt dime!
A scarce wrong planchet, with only 5 known 1946 dates quarters on dimes known.
