PCGS (1966) Washington quarter with a corner clip. The clip is from one of the 4 corners of a coil of planchet strip, and occurs when a blank is punched out so that it overlaps one of the strips corners, where the side and end of the strip form an angle. The coin weighs 5.05 grams.
Corner clips are rare, and only a small number are known. They rarely are available for sale, and are one of the rarest mint error types.
PCGS 1966 Washington quarter off-metal struck on a clad dime planchet. The coin is struck on the planchet intended for striking into a Roosevelt dime.
