Fees for Auction Representation
Auction Representation
We will give you our opinion on a coin's value, rarity, authenticity, condition, and appropriate bid. We will bid ourselves (with a 50% deposit of the bid amount from client and balance due in 14 days of auction ending.)
Items under $1,000 Flat $100 Fee Per coin.
Items $1,000+ 10% of total price.
Error Attribution or Consultation (attribution of error type and valuation)
If you have an item and need to know what kind of error it is or simply want to know the value.
Fee for consultation $25 per coin plus $10 return postage. Insurance is your responsibility, but we will do our best to ship it as safely as possible. For an informal opinion, we typically do not charge.
authenticity
Everything we sell is guaranteed to be authentic, or your money back. (Note: due to the nature of coin collecting, and the ongoing research by collectors, changes in a coin’s historical nature, or background, error type, etc, are not covered under this guarantee—only coins which are spurious and made to deceive collectors are guaranteed.)
grading
All coins are graded using ANA and current market grading standards. In addition to the grade, we also go to the greatest lengths to describe and photograph our coins accurately.
returns
Any item purchased from this website (except bullion or items largely valued for their precious metal content) may be returned for any reason for a full refund within 14 days of having received it. Note: if a payment was made for the item with Pay Pal, we will charge a 2.9% fee (because Pay Pal charges us this fee.) Also, we don't refund the postage for returns.
Exception: items purchased on eBay Auctions may be returned only if the item was inaccurately described. This is because of the auction-structure of eBay, which makes returns difficult. Items purchased in the eBay store are subject to a 2.9% fee, since Pay Pal no longer refund our fees on eBay sales that are cancelled.
layaways
1.Orders over $300 in value can be placed on layaway at our approval. Our policy is to limit layaways to 3 months, although if longer terms are needed, we may be able to do longer on a case by case basis. If a longer layaway is needed, contact us: jon@sullivannumismatics.com
2.Layaways not paid within the agreed upon layaway term will be cancelled immediately and the 10% restocking fee will be kept by us unless otherwise negotiated (see item #7)
3.If the buyer decides at any point during the layaway term to cancel the transaction, or after having received the coins decides they do not want them (within the standard 14 day return privilege time) they will receive a full refund minus the 10% restocking fee.
4. A minimum 10% downpayment is required immediately for all layaways, and 1/3 monthly (minimum) until paid in full within the 3 month term (if it’s a 2 month term, 1/2 monthly, etc.)
5.The coins will be retained in our possession until the order is paid in full.
6. Layaway is not necessarily an option for all our inventory.
7. At our discretion, we may agree to a longer layaway plan—we do our best to work with our customers!

U.S. orders
-Orders are shipped & insured for free. If you need a special shipping option, just send us an email and we will do our best to accommodate you.
International orders
