NGC 1968-S Jefferson nickel struck on a Lincoln cent planchet. The coin is struck on a copper cent planchet, and so is the weight and copper metal of a cent, and is the weight of one at 3.1 grams. It is smaller than a normal nickel, with portions of the outer lettering missing.

A scarcer date/mintmark for nickels on cent planchets, although available.
