PCGS 1974 Washington quarter struck on cent planchet. The coin is copper, and is the weight of a cent, and has much of the outer design missing. The date is visible as well. A scarce error type.

The error occurred when a cent planchet was fed into a press that was striking quarters and was struck, resulting in an off-metal quarter on cent planchet.

MS62 Red/Brown, with mostly red surfaces. Obverse counting wheel mark.
