PCGS 1978 Lincoln cent struck on clad 10c blank. The coin is struck on a clad Roosevelt dime blank, and is the weight, metal, and blank type of a dime. It is dramatically different in appearance than a normal cent, with the clad blank material being very difference from the bronze cent.
The error occurred when a 10c blank was fed into a cent press and struck, resulting in the off-metal cent on dime blank. A dramatic and major error.
PCGS MS65 with lustrous surfaces, and a hint of golf toning. Some areas of what appears to be copper on the coin, which were doubtless struck into the coin. A pre-strike scratch obverse, which is part of the error.
