NGC 1999-P Jefferson nickel stricken a 1999-P Roosevelt dime double-denomination. The coin is a 15c piece, with both of the dime and nickel's designs on it. Very strong design detail is visible from both the nickel and the dime, giving is good eye-appeal. Having strong design detail is the most important consideration with double-denominations. Also, there is reeding on the edge, and it is the clad planchet of a 10c.

Scarce, with an estimated 20-25 business strike nickels on dimes known.

The error occurred when a struck dime was fed into a press that was striking nickels, and overstruck with the nickel design. Because the coin is smaller than a normal nickel, it was easier for it to have escaped the mint and into a roll or bag.

MS64 with lustrous surfaces. Some golden, green/blue/gold toning on portions of the coin. Mostly white surfaces on the obverse.
