PCGS 1865 three cent nickel flipover double-struck witht the 2nd strike 10% off-center. The coin shows portions of the reverse in the underlying 1st strike on the 2nd strike's obverse.

 

Dramatic in appearance, and very rare error type on three cent nickels. Estimated 3-4 known.

 

VF details scratch. The coin has gray surfaces, and the scratches are old and well toned over.
