NGC Shield nickel split planchet before strike, with a weight of 2.3 grams. The coin is struck on a planchet that split in half before being struck into a coin. As a result, it is less than half the normal weight, and shows the rough, split side on the coin's reverse. Unique for the series--we've never seen another!
NGC did not grade the coin, but we'd grade it AU58. It has just a hint of wear and moderate luster.
