NGC 1881-CC Morgan dollar with a partial collar strike. The coin is struck partially out of collar, with only part of the edge having any reeding. A rare date/mint for partial collar strikes, and the only example we are aware of.

The error occurred when the coin was struck while only partially within the collar die, allowing part of the edge to expand beyond it's normal diameter, and also it didn't receive any reeding on that part of the edge.

MS64 with lustrous surfaces and light gold toning.
