PCGS $2.5 Indian quarter eagle with a minor curved clip at 11 o'clock. The clip is small, but the "curve" is obvious. Clips are very scarce (of any size) on U.S. gold coins. The weight was very important because of the precious metal content of the coins, and so great care was taken to avoid coins with clips or underweight planchets.
NGC 1914 Indian quarter eagle with a curved clip at 4 o'clock. The curved clip is small, as are all known gold clips on U.S. coins.
