ANACS 1951 Lincoln wheat cent struck on a dime blank. The coin is silver, and is the weight and metal of a dime. A very scarce date/mint for cents on dime blanks (note: it says "planchet" on the holder, but its actually a T-1 blank.) The "1" in the 1951 date is faint but just barely able to be determined.
The planchet was intended for striking a dime, but was instead struck in a press striking cents, resulting in a coin with the design of a cent but the metal and planchet of a dime.
ANACS gave the coin a "net grade" of VF-20 Damaged (scratches.) The coin would grade AU50 details "scratched" in our estimation if submitted to PCGS.
