NGC 1952 Jefferson nickel off-metal struck on a 1c planchet. The coin is the copper alloy planchet of a Lincoln cent, and is the weight and planchet of a cent. It is slightly smaller than a normal nickel, with some of the lettering partially missing. THe date is easy to see, adding to the coin's desirability.

Very scarce date for nickels on cents, with few known. It is even more rare as a "red" coin, since almost all earlier date nickels on cents are brown or red/brown.

NGC MS63 Red surfaces with some some very minor spots, common on nickel on cents. Rare as a red nickel on cent, and one of the few examples known!
