NGC 1958 Lincoln wheat cent overstruck on a 1958 1 centavo. The coin shows the designs of both the 1958 wheat cent and the 1958 1 centavo, with traces of the 1c design visible under the cent's design.

The error occurred when a 1958 1c was fed into a press that was striking 1958 wheat cents and was struck, resulting in this double-denomination.  The U.S. struck coins for many nations, which is how this type of error occurs most of the time.

This is an above average example in our opinion, with good eye-appeal. Very scarce, with an estimated 6-8 known.

NGC MS63 with pleasing surfaces.
