PCGS 1971 Washington quarter struck on a cent planchet. The coin is struck on the copper planchet of a Lincoln cent, and weighs only 3.1 grams, which is much lower than a normal quarter's weight of 5.67 grams. Additionally, much of the lettering and portions of the design are missing.
A scarce and desirable off-metal, and popular due to the dramatic appearance of the differing metal.
