NGC 1971-D Eisenhower dollar struck 35% off-center. A visually dramatic off-center, with much of the planchet and design visible, giving it good eye-appeal. Also, the date and much of Ike's face and bust are visible, adding to the eye-appeal. 1971 is also a scarcer year for off-center Ikes.
Major off-center Ike's are generally scarce, but this is an above average example in terms of eye-appeal, the scarcer date and positioning of the strike.
