NGC 1977-S proof Eisenhower dollar double-struck on a half dollar planchet. The coin is struck on the clad planchet intended for striking a Kennedy half dollar, but which was instead fed into a press that was striking Ike dollars, and was struck.
The coin is double-struck (as were all proof coins of this era), but with a dramatic rotation between the strikes, giving it a more eye-catching appearance.
Proof Ike dollars on half planchets are rare, although somewhat available with some searching.
NGC PF68 Cameo with almost entirely white surfaces, with frosted devices which contrast with the mirror fields. A minor spot on Ike's head. Overall a beautiful and eye-catching major proof error.
1976-D Eisenhower dollar double-struck with the 2nd strike 97% off-center and uniface obverse.
A nice grade example of a double-struck bicentennial Ike.
