NGC 1c 197X Lincoln cent off-metal double-struck on a clad dime blank, and with a weight of 2.3 grams. The Lincoln cent was double-struck off-center on the dime blank and has a uniface reverse on the off-center strike. Very dramatic in appearance, being both the wrong metal and also double-struck!
A rare combination as a double-struck off-center cent on dime blank, and not very many this major are known. An estimate would be 10-15 or so examples known like this.
The error occurred when a clad dime blank was fed into a Lincoln cent press and was struck twice, with the 2nd strike off-center, resulting in this coin.
