PCGS 1986 silver eagle struck on emory sanding disc. The Emory discs are usually 3M, which is likely what this one is as well. The emory discs were used to texture the dies so that planchets would not stick to them. They were sometimes struck into and retained in the silver eagles (only a very few known), and alternately, struck thru and the disc and coin separated. The discs like this are popular and dramatic in appearance, since the silver eagle is struck on a piece emory sanding disc instead of a silver planchet!

MS63 with moderate wrinkles in the paper (very common on examples of this error type.) No pin holes or tears add to the coin's eye-appeal.
