PCGS 2003-P Illinois state quarter struck on a nickel planchet. The coin is struck on the planchet of a Jefferson nickel, and is the weight and metal of a nickel. It is slightly smaller than a quarter, and also weighs only about 5 grams.
All (except Delaware) state quarters on nickel planchets are scarce, with most states having only 2-10 known for the state.
MS65 with blue/golden/brown toning, and lustrous. The reverse in particular has great eye-appeal (a bit cloudy on the obverse, but not bad.)
