NGC (1941-1945) Jefferson silver war nickel type-2 planchet, with laminations on the planchet. Silver war nickels are very common with laminations, which therefore makes laminations on an unstruck planchet understandable.
Silver war nickel planchets are rare, and only a small number of them are known. This is the first we have had for some time.
We grade the coin Uncirculated. It has lustrous surfaces and good eye-appeal.
Proof Jefferson nickel type-2 planchet. The planchet has glimmering surfaces, and has the lightly, burnished appearance seen on proof planchets. Ex-San Francisco Hoard.
