NGC 1866 three cent nickel with a mirror brockage of the obverse on the coin's reverse. The brockage is strong, with about 95% of the design sharp and clear, and just a hint of fading on a few letters and dentils. Also, the coin is broadstruck, with a moderate expansion in size.
A beautiful example, and a "2 headed" three cent nickel, and rare.
Brockages like this occur when a coin is struck, sticks to the obverse die, a 2nd planchet is fed into the striking chamber and is struck. The coin stuck to the obverse die is pressed into the 2nd planchet during the strike, creating a perfect brockage of the reverse design into the planchet's obverse side. The result is a coin with 2 reverses--one "normal" and the other with this mirror brockage.
