PCGS 1973-D Washington quarter struck on a cent blank. The coin weighs 3.07 grams, and is struck on a copper alloy cent blank. The coin is smaller than a normal quarter, and is missing much of the outer design.

The off-metal occurred when a cent blank was fed into a press that was striking quarters and was struck, resulting in a coin with the design of a quarter but the planchet of a cent. An eye-catching and dramatic off-metal!
