Error Coin Blog Post November 19th, 2024

On last Thursday we arrived bright and early for the Baltimore Whitman Expo, held week (November 14-16th, 2024.) A short flight, and a quick set up and things were off and running. Many customers stopped by as well as dealers with error coins for sale, questions, or just looking to buy an error or two. Many of our regular customers showed up on the first day, and it was fairly non-stop until the show closed that evening. Friday was also busy, and there was a decent amount of traffic Saturday.

One neat coin was a 2000 Sacagawea struck on a clad quarter planchet, which walked up to the table. The dealer had acquired it in his coin shop, and brought it to the show to sale. Numerous other errors showed up, including minor off-center cents to off-metals. It was a good show, with a decent amount of both buying and selling for us.

Dealers in U.S. coins (not errors), were also having a good show. With a decent level of retail and wholesale activity, and no complaints were heard.

This was our last coin show for 2024, and our next show will be the FUN coin show in Orlando, Florida in January 2025. This show is one of the largest (a tie with the summer ANA), with 500+ tables. It’s a must attend show if you are able to make it!

We will be listing new inventory over the coming weeks, both from the coin show as well are regular inventory we get in. Look for many certified coins, including less expensive and some more expensive pieces. Typically, we try to list on Monday or Tuesday, so keep an eye out for the email alert (if you’re not signed up, you can subscribe to our inventory email alerts using this link: Subscribe.)
